CliHelper publishes diagnostic notes about failures produced by third-party command line software. The notes are informational and free to read.
Entries describe observed behaviour at specific versions of specific tools. Software changes between versions, and the same message can have different causes in different environments. A cause stated here is one that was verified, not a guarantee that it is the only one.
Commands in these notes inspect state - they read logs, list processes, show mounts. They are written to be safe to run. Still, read a command before running it on a system that matters to you.
The tools discussed here belong to their own authors and maintainers. CliHelper hosts none of their code, redistributes none of it, and has no affiliation with, endorsement from, or authority over any of them. Links to their documentation are provided for accuracy; those sites are governed by their own terms.
Provided without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
These terms may be revised as the site develops. The current version is the one on this page.
